February 24, 2022…History is being written… And we live it on our own skin …
Until now, in Ukraine, people lived in peace as we Romanians still live today, although we do not know what will happen tomorrow. They lived badly, poor, but quiet! From the silence to the war, in just a few minutes.
People, who were busy with their business, suddenly found themselves in a war, having to pack up and run or fight. They also did not imagine that a war would take place in their home. But behold, from a quiet life in poverty, they suddenly experience the horrors of cruel war.
The words of Erich Hartmann, the most feared fighter pilot of World War II, describe exactly what is happening on the streets of Ukraine today:
„War is a place where young people, who do not know and hate each other, kill themselves, by decisions of elders who know and hate each other, but do not kill themselves.”
The young men, without any military training, are sent to the battlefield, in fierce battles, to fight with the same bizarre, bloodthirsty characters. From the computer games in which he had to kill his enemy and defend his territory, they found themselves in a real war with weapons, missiles, planes, nuclear bombs and many dead. This is what is always wanted in war: for people to slaughter each other, turning their souls into a bottomless pit.
Young people who until now did not socialize because of the computer and isolation, young people who did not know each other, who did not hate each other, are sent to the front to fight, where they have to kill innocent people, by order of some old people, because we live in a society run by the elderly, with decisions in favor of the elderly, and for the elderly it is logical and fair to obey the orders given by them.
The future of these young people is suffocating, and we will not find a young generation in Ukraine whose lives have not been destroyed by the Russians. The consequences are bad on all levels, because we live in a tyranny conceived by the elders, whose tentacles extend over all areas. The elders developed antibodies against any changes that would jeopardize the peace of their asylum. There are young „idiots” we send to the front to die, and there are „great” old men who give orders to those young people.
War is a total disaster, with terrible consequences: defeated or victorious. War, violence have never led to anything good!
Until now, only those who have lived through those moments of horror, who have passed in fear and hope, between life and death, have been able to talk about the war.
So far, we’ve learned about the war from books, movies, history classes. We have not been able to imagine the scale of the tragedy of war. Even so, watching TV every day, we are far from understanding what we experienced during the war: fear, death, haunting everywhere, despair, the drama of single families… we will never be able to understand until we live it on our own skin.
Why do we need war when we can have peace? Why do we need hatred when the soul allows us to love? By thinking rationally, both in war and in love, any conflict can be avoided if the parties give up the desire to conquer, the desire for power and the desire to dominate. You need to know when to put an end to both. By giving up pride, pride, violence, and war, we can invest in peace, for war does not define us!
Even in the midst of the toughest confrontation, „with the weapons of love, fierce wars can be avoided”, say the wise words of David Boia.
It is said that everything is allowed in love and in war! Although in war, as in love, there is no reason, but you give everything, without thinking about the consequences, that in the end there is only one winner.
